Falling Back in Love With the Library

To tell you that I've not had a library card to our local library since 2003 would be quite accurate.
That said, I have had a library card for my overseas home in Scotland and then when I returned back to Canada, I borrowed my mom's card and visited sporadically.  It's not that I don't read, I do, but I have bought books or have borrowed them from friends, etc.

However, I've not been to the library in ages and because this is the year that I intend on really taking care of me, I suppose that also means taking care of the grey matter as well.  So, I went to the library after work tonight and paid my overdue fines from 2003 ($1.80 thank you very much) and reinstated my white and blue public library account.  Whoop! 

So, part of the joy of having a library card is also checking out all the CDs and DVDs available as well as their online offering.  I have joined a photography bookclub (primarily business books) and the library is the perfect resource for me to get these books. 

I'd love to join up with a regular book club, but at the moment I think I have my hands full. :)

Until then, I'll be over here doing some reading and listening to some new tunes...
